What about the coasts of Sardinia, except that the best way to enjoy them is to identify with the nature that surrounds them? Kilometers of sand, green and blue rocks.
SU CARDOLINU ISLANDSu Cardolinu Island is also an interesting area from an archaeological point of view: here you can visit the remains of the ancient Phoenician-Punic city of Bithie. Also "Isula Manna", the island of Su Cardolinu, rises in the eastern part of the Bay of Chia and is connected to the mainland with its suggestive bays. You can reach this part of the bay on foot, starting from the Torre di Chia promontory: in five minutes you are there.
PORTICCIOLO BEACHTo the east of Su Cardolinu is Porticciolo beach, one of the most beautiful in the entire bay. Located at the foot of the Torre di Chia promontory, this fine white sand beach is not suitable for non-swimmers as the water is immediately deep. However, it is recommended for the beauty of the panorama, and here you can also visit the Chia pond, just behind the beach, inhabited by flamingos.
CALA DE SA MUSICAAnother beautiful beach in the Bay of Chia is Cala de Sa Musica: a small beach surrounded by cliffs and lush Mediterranean vegetation.
CALA DEL MORTOCala del Morto is one of the most beautiful beaches in this region of Sardinia: it can only be reached on foot after a pleasant walk through the Mediterranean vegetation that surrounds the beach. However, it is not the ideal beach for those seeking tranquility and relaxation, as it is usually quite crowded in the summer months.
PORTO CAMPANA BEACHIf you are looking for a fascinating and very special landscape, choose Porto Campana beach with its characteristic sand dunes. The kiosk bar a few meters from the water makes it our favorite.
SU GIUDEU BEACH AND ISLANDWide and suggestive sand dunes and another beach not to be missed during your holidays in the Bay of Chia: Su Giudeu beach (also called S' Acqua by the locals called Dulci ) . locals) is unanimously considered one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. It is a long beach of fine golden sand, with dunes up to 20 meters high and centuries-old junipers in the background. The sea with the purity of its waters completes this postcard landscape. The beach takes its name from the islet of Su Giudeu, which rises to the right of the beach about 150 meters from the shore: it is a large rocky promontory covered by expanses of Mediterranean vegetation. Get there (on foot and by swimming) because from this rock you have a truly remarkable view of the entire Bay of Chia.
CALA ONIONIt is smaller than Su Giudeu beach, but no less fascinating. Surrounded by magnificent juniper groves, Cala Cipolla is the ideal beach for those looking for relaxation and tranquility in an impressive and unspoiled natural environment.
CAPO SPARTIVENTOAnother recommended walk is the one that takes you from Cala Cipolla to the lighthouse of Capo Spartivento (about 20 minutes on foot). Capo Spartivento is one of the southernmost regions of Sardinia, famous for the beauty of its landscape. Near Capo Spartivento you can also visit the small beach Perdalonga (also called Cala Antoniareddu) with its spectacular silver sand and the Tueredda (or Tuaredda) beach, which is one of the most its beauty, it is the most popular beach in southern Sardinia. The fine sandy beach of Tueredda is located in front of a small islet of the same name and is surrounded by clear and transparent waters.
